the front cover that i started to produce yesterday has now been scrapped as the picture would be more beneficial if it was put on the double page spread as it has such a dark background. this means that the words and images put ontop all have to be in lighter tones/colours to enable the readers to see exactly what is said and what the small images are. but the picture will hopefully be used on my double page spread and i will have to take another picture for my front cover which won't have such a dark background.

Double page spread:
My double page spread would be an interview from a band which is going to be well known. it will consists of a question and answer type format where the quesion will appear in a bold font and then the answer from the band would go underneath and in a slightly smaller font size. the left page of the two pages will be where the interview will be featured, this is a common format amongst rock magazines. the right page will feature an A4 sized photo of the lead singer in the band and this will be a focal point of the double page spread along with the quotation on the left page in the middle which is going to be in a large font size.
Front cover:
The front cover is quite packed which is like KERRANG! magazine. there is a strapline going across the top which tells the reader a selection of bands that are going to featured into the magazine. the main image is going to cover the majority of the page and then have straplines going over the top of it and they are going to be alined to the left. there is also going to be a strapline going across the page underneath the main image. there is only going to be two images on the front cover of the magazine as it would make the magazine look messy otherwise.
the colours which i am going to use on the magazine are going to be red, black and white as these are stereotypical man colours and going along with the theme of the magazine which is rock.
the fonts which i am going to use are; Franklin Gothic Medium, Century Gothic and Arial Black.
